Co-Founder, CEO and Clinical Director of The Guest House Ocala. With over 2 decades of experience working in both residential and out-patient settings. In 2003 Judy brought years of specialized training and her distinctive insights on treating trauma and addiction to create The Refuge-A Healing Place. Under her leadership, The Refuge grew to become one of the foremost leaders in treating Trauma/ PTSD and Addiction.

With a B.A. at Rutgers, M.A. from New York Institute of Technology and a Certified Addiction Professional in Florida, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, a Certified Hypnotist, EMDR and a specialist for healing trauma and PTSD, Judy is the world’s leading specialist in the field. Her presentation and seminars on PTSD and sexual trauma resolution are known worldwide and specialized training, experiential methods, and holistic concepts are now being provided through a Visceral, Spiritual, and Profound 5 module training program.

Following the acquisition of The Refuge by international mental healthcare providers, Arcadia, Judy went on to create Spirit2Spirit Healing. This new venture was founded on the principle of “teaching people how to heal so they can learn how to grow”, and move past emotional traumas. With Spirit2Spirit growing from strength to strength and her  model becoming the most respected trauma program in the field, Judy decided to once again enter the residential arena and has recently launched The Guest House Ocala.

John Southworth

John began his career as a licensed DUI evaluator in 1983 at the Nelson Institute. After receiving his CADC in 1984 he began providing both inpatient and outpatient counseling for groups and individuals. This experience led to a deeper desire to not only provide counseling and education but to provide interventions which “help people help others”. John started his professional career as an interventionist in 1984 and has since conducted hundreds of successful interventions, both nationally and internationally. He is currently a preferred interventionist for numerous prestigious treatment centers throughout the United States and abroad.
